Merlynn Molly ABC 164585
DOB: 10 January 2000
Molly was destined to join our family. She would watch "One Man and His Dog" with me every week -- falling asleep on my shoulder as she was just 3 or 4 weeks old when I started watching the show with her. She is a big girl, smooth coated, black and white, classically marked. Her mom was an English import and her dad was a well-known trial dog in the northeast. Molly has a great disposition, is a very biddable worker with great style, and she is good to her sheep. Molly works every day at Willowgate.
Molly is OFA Good. She has been checked for PRA but has not been tested for DNA CEA as she is spayed.

Imp Lass ABC 349256
DOB: 25 December 2009
Lass was born on Christmas Day in Biddulph, Staffordshire, England, one of seven pups. She is a quick learner, very smart [aren't they all?], and a challenge!
She is smooth coated, black and white, with prick ears. She is DNA CEA Normal. Additional tests will be performed when age appropriate.

Lass is a very stylish worker. She paces well and keeps a good distance, she watches all of her sheep, and she does not back down. I am very happy with her. She has a long way to go but with a steady hand she will be a very useful worker and an asset to the farm. Plus, who knows, she just might be a great trial dog too!
Lass is continuing her training now that spring is here and the grass is green! She hasn't forgotten a thing over the winter and is ready to go. Her outruns are almost solid and she is beginning to drive which she likes. She is still good to her sheep but she doesn't take any guff from any of them. What a treasure I have!

Aug 2011: Lass is prgressing nicely. She reads sheep extremely well... all kinds from the slow and sticky to the runners. She will outrun the length of the field and if she cannot see sheep and does not know where they are, she will cover the field... thinking and looking the whole time. Her driving is improving daily though some days she is more comfortable driving the length of the field than others. Some days I can see her uncomfortableness and she will circle and gather them back to me. Her flanks are square and at times she will take a small flank on the drive. That will come and she will be more comfortable as time and practice progress. She is on whistle and seems, like most border collies, to prefer the whistle. I am very pleased with this dog! She rarely does anything really wrong but still has her "puppy" ways once in a while and just must shake things up. Those times are less and less. She is very pleased when I am pleased... which is most of the time! Like all border collies, she knows when she has done it right.

Willowgate Nan ABC 64372
06 February 1995 - 14 October 2009
Nanny, my pint-size drover. Her little body gave out and she said it was time to join mom, dad, uncle Jock, her brothers and sisters and grandparents. She is the last of the Willowgate line living at Willowgate. I shall miss her... the stories she told me every morning on the way to let out the sheep; the way she had of breaking up every fun-time the others were trying to have; her dark brown eyes asking when it would be her turn to work....
Wait for me, Pee-Wee, with all the others, at the Rainbow Bridge.............
